Casey Massman, dirt whisperer, botanical alchemist, and sworn enemy of the mundane, has spent a lifetime tangled up in the glorious mysteries of the natural world. An acolyte of the wild, a dreamer who learned early that the heady sway of tall grasses hold far more intrigue than the sterile simplicity of a uniform lawn.

In his twenties, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a pursuit that eventually lured him westward to California, where he continued his craft, steeping in the creative infusion of the Golden State. The study of Eco-Art, led to Permaculture, and finally Landscape Architecture, a beautiful trajectory of artistry and ecology that became the beating heart of his work.

He spends his days translating the poetry of the California coast, the Sierra foothills, and the oak-strewn woodlands of the Bay Area, distilling the rhythms of nature into the microcosm of home gardens.
